I had the opportunity to have an amazing conversation with Ewa Krajewska at Fashion Project today. From talking about SEO for Fashion sites, Ewa agreed to a quick interview.

She took the time to talk to me and answer some questions so I could get to know her better and hear more about the things that have helped shape her business success to date – let’s get stuck into it!

What Is The Book (Or Books) You’ve Given Most As A Gift, And Why?

Art and design and architecture albums on contemporary art. The books that have greatly influenced me are any by Raymond Carver, a writer and a poet, especially his short stories ‘What We Talk About When We Talk About Love’.

What Purchase Of $100 Or Less Has Most Positively Impacted Your Life In The Last Six Months?

When You Feel Overwhelmed Or Unfocused, Or Have Lost Your Focus Temporarily, What Do You Do?

I play the piano (for example, Pieces by Eric Satie) or I go for a walk with my dog.

What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession or area of expertise?

Do it quickly and get another deal, don’t spend too much time on it.

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

Doing sports, especially jogging, swimming, and yoga. It has taught me discipline and being consequent in order to maintain good energy and overcome own barriers and reaching new better levels.

What Is One Of The Best Or Most Worthwhile Investments You’ve Ever Made?

Participating in art and tech festivals, and spending time with inspiring people and building friendships.

If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — what would it say and why?

Dare to… follow your dreams. Nothing is stronger than your heart. (I believe that the potential we have is huge but fear stops our dreams and seize our path to success, that’s why we shouldn’t think about our fears but about our dreams and don’t think about it, just do it. )

What careers advice would you give to your 21-year old self?

Stick to your passion and do your duties at work the best you can.

How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success? Do you have a “favourite failure” of yours?

It made me more humble, wiser and stronger. I take a failure as a homework to do. Yes, I have my own failures, I think everyone has, but after all it taught me a lot and saved against new failures. Failures are important, they teach you to be better in your field and help to avoid similar mistakes for future. They improve you.

What advice would you give to a smart, driven college student about to enter the “real world”? What advice should they ignore?

Stay diligent, humble, patient, and true to yourself. Don’t think about money, but about your passion , doing your work the best you can and giving something meaningful to the world.

Tell Us About Your Business. What Does It Do And What Value Do You Add?

My business deals with creating a strategy for brand development including PR and marketing taking into consideration international market and cooperation.

What is the most significant thing that someone much younger than yourself has taught you?

That someone younger might have better ideas than you, that it’s good to collaborate and exchange ideas with younger minds in order to create something unique and we should respect people no matter how old they are.

Tell us about someone you admire and why you admire them?

I admire scientists for discovering new spheres e.g. Stephen Hawkings and artists: architects for creating new space for living ( Tadao Ando) or musicians of contemporary composers like Jodie Landau.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Trends forecasting and implementing them into business strategies.

Where do you see your industry in the next 5 years?

Right here waiting for you. Creating newer and more fascinating ways for consumers to be connected to brands.

What is a 'hack' you have for success that most people don't know about?

My intuition.

What's your favourite digital marketing channel and why?

Social Media (Instagram) because it’s simple and updated.

What is a useful skill someone could learn in one minute?

Following the schedule.

When did you first become a rebel?

When I was a child, maybe I was 3 years old and took my Dad’s passport in order to make in it own illustrations and comments.

What's your favourite colour?

Blue.

How has Covid-19 changed your industry?

It has opened new possibilities and technologies.

How has Covid-19 changed your company?

It has opened new channels of communications.

What is the most surprising thing you've seen in your industry?

A young startup winning the best prize in experienced industry.

What popular celebrity do you admire the most and why?

Clive Owen for his distant approach and creativity on stage.

What's your favourite holiday destination?

Cabo da Roca in Portugal.

What's something exciting you're currently working on/learning that only a few people know about?

Creating a special project with designers from Japan. Stay tuned!

Libra.

What are you NOT Very Good at?

Filling in all small lines, invoices and papers.
