A Fireside Chat

I had the opportunity to have an amazing conversation with Jitendra Vaswani from Digiexe today. I first stumbled across Jitendra’s blog when I was looking for some inspiration surrounding content marketing.

From there, we got in touch, and he took the time to talk to me and answer some questions so I could get to know him better and hear more about the things that have helped shape his business success to date – let’s get stuck into it!

What Is The Book (Or Books) You’ve Given Most As A Gift, And Why?

My favourite book of all time that I’ve given is Rich Dad and Poor Dad. It had great impact on my financial thinking and the idea of creating more assets instead of liabilities. Everyone should read this book to learn about financing.

What Purchase Of $100 Or Less Has Most Positively Impacted Your Life In The Last Six Months?

Recently, I bought a awesome picture for my wall reminding me that life is short, be happy and do the things you love the most! This frame in front of my bed reminds me how beautiful life is.

When You Feel Overwhelmed Or Unfocused, Or Have Lost Your Focus Temporarily, What Do You Do?

Whenever I feel unfocused, I always hit the gym or go workout, to be honest. That is the best way to get back into the game. Also, listening to a podcast helps me to feel better; then I can focus more on business.

What Are Bad Recommendations You Hear In Your Profession Or Area Of Expertise?

I hear a lot of bad recommendations in terms of SEO, like many claims that only PBNs work in SEO strategies; many gurus claim that without a PBN, you cannot rank on Google.

In The Last Five Years, What New Belief, Behavior, Or Habit Has Most Improved Your Life?

I have become more dedicated towards my business, and I’ve started practicing the law of attraction and manifestation. Whatever things I need in my life, I started manifesting them, and the universe keeps giving me back all the beautiful things I needed.

What Is One Of The Best Or Most Worthwhile Investments You’ve Ever Made?

I would say my investment in niche blogs. In 2020 I did a $20k investment into niche sites, and that investment started paying off when my sites start ranking on Google. Plus, I got the best business partner I could ever have hoped for.

What Careers Advice Would You Give To Your 21-Year Old Self?

Stop overthinking, just do the shit you love.

How Has A Failure, Or Apparent Failure, Set You Up For Later Success?

I actually have my favourite failure: when I was in a certain job (when younger), everybody considered me a failure because I was only earning pennies. From there, I learned that I don’t want to be poor in my life, I want to die rich.

I listened to my inner voice and decided to bounce back from those failures, and today I am a six-figure digital nomad!

What Advice Would You Give To A Smart, Driven College Student About To Enter The “Real World”? What Advice Should They Ignore?

Start learning any one skill and keep on improving that skill. If you want to be a digital marketer, be the best digital marketer, not just an average one. Always be the best at your work so you will never be out of work or go out of business.

Tell Us About Your Business. What Does It Do And What Value Do You Add?

I run a digital marketing agency called Digiexe, and I have also been doing affiliate marketing for six years. This gives me passive income, and I enjoy my life as a digital nomad on the beaches.

I add value to my client business; if they want sales from SEO, I help them get sales from blogs via organic traffic, or I have on my niche sites. Through my digital marketing agency, I serve clients who are looking to make a website, LMS services, or mobile apps. I also have a cofounder who handles my operations for my agency.

Where Do You See Your Industry In The Next 5 Years?

SEO is going to become more complicated and traditional SEO will not work any more, as Google focuses more on web vitals. Your page speed and content will be the key signal for your ranking.

What Is A 'Hack' You Have For Success That Most People Don't Know About?

Commitment is the most important aspect in life. 99% of people are lazy and never do anything in life to achieve greatness.

Tell Us About Someone You Admire And Why You Admire Them?

Neil Patel, he is one the first SEO guy I started following, and I learned a lot of things in SEO for free. When I was starting out in SEO, I didn’t have any money; Neil tutorials helped me to learn SEO better.

What Is The Most Surprising Thing You've Seen In Your Industry?

I’ve started seeing positive change in the SEO industry, like many SEO experts who have started sharing their knowledge in seminars and networking meetups which is a gamechanger.

How Has Covid-19 Changed Your Industry?

Covid19 has changed the SEO industry a lot; now, more online sales are happening than ever! People are buying more online than offline. Covid19 has changed many habits.

How Has Covid-19 Changed Your Company?

Of course, my work has been remote before Covid-19, so it doesn’t affect much. But our team has missed meeting each other. Because of Covid-19, our team members have been isolated, and we’ve had to start communicating more via Zoom calls.
